River of Life Africa

We are a small coalition of people bringing awareness about the suffering of children throughout Africa. We are seeking ways to provide food and basic living necessities to orphans in Uganda, Kenya, and parts of Africa!

My name is Caroline Conley, I would like to share a short introduction about my ministry. I am a missionary who is trying to provide assistance to orphans in Uganda, Kenya, and parts of Africa. Many orphans are going without food to eat on a daily basis. Many do not have clothes to wear or fresh water to drink. I have been trying to send small donations to different orphanages in Uganda, but I can not do this alone! I need help! I am asking that you consider joining my efforts in making a difference in the life of an orphan by making any small donation. I very much appreciate if you would contact me for more information about this project.
God bless you!

Would you help a vagaboond?

The definition of vagabond according to Wikipedia is me! I have no home, no job, no income, and I beg and ask people to have mercy on me!

According to Wikipedia,  I am a vagabond! According to Google imagine search a vagabond looks like someone laying helplessly in the streets at the mercy of the world. Now, I ask you to look at the above picture with the man laying there begging for mercy would you be willing to reach down and offer a helping hand? Do not be so fast to say YES because I am the person laying on the ground asking you for help today!

"A vagrant or a vagabond is a person, often in poverty, who wanders from place to place without a home or regular employment or income. Other synonyms include "tramp," "hobo," and "drifter". A vagrant could be described as being "a person without a settled home or regular work who wanders from place to place and lives by begging"; vagrancy is the condition of such persons.[1]

I, Tim Gillam declare, before you and God today April, 10, 2014, that I have nothing and by definition I am a vagabond. I ask you in the name of Jesus Christ to have mercy on me today!
Please make a small donation to help me!

Faith is the Key!

Without faith it’s impossible to please God! Yes, we must utilize our faith in all situations. If  you are in great need or in great despair, Faith is the Key! Many say “I have faith” which is very easy to say, but if you have not been through anything how do you know you have faith?

Faith is the Key Poem
How Strong is Your Faith?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is an example of great faith.  See Daniel chapter 1-3. They knew they would be thrown in the hot furnace to be burned to death, but the situation did not alter their faith! Their faith got stronger as a result the Lord delivered them from death of fire. The Lord is still looking for great faith today!  God is looking for those who are face to face with death, but will not alter or change his or her faith in God!

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove from here to yonder place; and it shall remove; and
nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20

                 Inspirational and Spiritual Poetry

We all need inspiration and encouragement. Sometimes just a kind word can be a blessing and it can help us get  through our darkness hour!! During those struggling times, I try to find some inspiring words to share and comfort. A good encouraging word can turn someones life around.

"He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted and proclaim LIBERTY to the captives."
Isaiah 61:1

                                  My Testimony

I was born and raised in Detroit MI. I grew up in an unstable home. My father physically and mentally abused my mother. His abusiveness had an adverse effect on me as well as my siblings. It caused homelessness and a lot of mental anguish. It also caused a great deal of hardship and grief.

As a result, I did not attend school regularly. I developed a leaning disability. I did not like going to school. I could not read and comprehend like other kids in elementary. I struggled though middle school and eventually dropped out in the 9th grade.

I did not get involved in any criminal activity during this time, but I wasn’t doing anything constructive with my life either. I was not interested in sports or anything else that would make my life better.

I began smoking marijuana at around sixteen years old. I tried alcohol, but didn’t like the taste or the feeling of being drunk. So I stuck with smoking weed until I meet crack in 1984.

My life quickly grew out of control. I lied, cheated, and stole to support my crack habit. My only purpose in life was to get high. I lost friends and family members trust and respect. Getting high was all that mattered to me.

At twenty-seven, I committed my first felony that lead me to prison. It was one of the worse experience s of my life. I was completely lost and did not know or understand just how serious things were.

As result of my insanity, I went to prison several more times. My last visit was indeed the lowliest and darkest periods in my life. I lost all hope about myself. Despair became my best friend as I sit in the cold jail cell. I thought of ways to end my life because I did not want to go through the pain and suffering anymore. But at my lowest moment, something happened. The Lord came and touched my heart and gave me a reason to continue on.

Today, I use my experience to help inspire and uplift others. I want my poems to glory God and give encouragement and inspiration to the "Brokenhearted"
